Protection from external influences

For example, Formpack blister packs are provided with a desiccant that is incorporated into the base of the film. This extends the shelf life of medicines. Blister packs with these special properties preserve the medicine and provide effective protection against environmental influences.

Protection against counterfeiting & product piracy:

Aluminium foil can be given properties that protect a medicine from counterfeiting, but also prevent tampering with packaging. Particularly high-priced medicines are often counterfeited and completely ineffective counterfeits are put into circulation.
